What you can expect from the apps, what we expect from you, and how subscriptions work.
These Terms of Use cover movemetric.org and the Movemetric apps. Using them means you accept these terms. If you do not, stop using them.
Movemetric is operated by Adam Keath. Questions about these terms go to support@movemetric.org.
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the apps on devices you own or control, for their intended purpose. You may not resell them, rent them out, reverse engineer them, or strip out the parts you like and ship them as your own.
Apps downloaded from the App Store are also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where that agreement and these terms disagree about the app itself, Apple's terms win.
Some features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions. Apple takes the payment, not us.
These are instructional and personal tools. They are not medical devices, and nothing in them is medical, diagnostic or clinical advice. Heart-rate readings, calorie estimates, movement feedback and every number derived from them are estimates for teaching and training decisions, not measurements to act on medically. Talk to a qualified professional before changing what you do on health grounds.
If you use an app with other people's data, students above all, you are responsible for having the right to collect and enter it, and for following your institution's rules on student records and health information. You are also responsible for the accuracy of what you enter.
You may not use the apps to break the law, to harass anyone, or to record people who have not agreed to be recorded.
CoachSAGE's movement feedback and Basal's meal parsing are produced by AI models. They are wrong sometimes. Treat what they produce as a suggestion from a machine that has seen a few still frames or a line of text, and check anything that matters before acting on it.
Those features depend on a service we run, which can be unavailable, rate limited or changed. The rest of each app keeps working when it is.
What you create stays yours: your clips, your rosters, your logs, your notes. Using the apps does not give us ownership of any of it, and we do not sell it or use it to train models.
Where an app syncs or sends something to a service we run, the details are in the Privacy Policy and on each app's own page.
The apps and the site are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. They may change, features may be removed, and a service may stop. Where a change would make a paid feature substantially worse, notice will be given in the app or by email.
To the extent the law allows, liability for any claim connected to the apps is limited to what you paid for them in the twelve months before the claim, and does not extend to indirect or consequential loss.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed, and continuing to use the apps after a change means accepting it. Questions go to support@movemetric.org.
