Every clip stays on the device.

What CoachSAGE handles, what leaves your device and what never does.
The short version
CoachSAGE records or imports a clip, lets you step through it, draw on it and compare two attempts, and hands a student an annotated still.
Clips stay on the device. There are no accounts, no cloud storage and no sync. One narrow exception exists, and it only happens when someone asks for it: when you request AI feedback, six to eight still frames are sent to our analysis service. Not the video, not the audio, not the rest of your library.
What the app handles
- Video you record or import. Written into the app's own storage on the device. Never uploaded, never backed up to us.
- Annotations and notes you add to a clip. Also on the device.
- Still frames, when you ask for feedback. Sent to our analysis service, passed to the AI provider that generates the feedback, and not kept afterwards.
- A device identifier we generate ourselves and keep in the device keychain. It exists to count free analyses so the allowance cannot be reset by reinstalling. It is not your Apple Account, your name, or an advertising identifier, and it identifies a device to us and nothing else.
- Subscription status from Apple. We are told whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details.
No tracking. No analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no third-party trackers, no profile built about you. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
Recording other people's children
This app gets pointed at students. Keeping video on the device is the decision the rest of the app is built around: there is no upload to consent to and no store of other people's children to breach.
If you record students, you are responsible for having permission to do so under your school's policy, and for how you share what you export. An annotated still you AirDrop to a student is out of the app's hands once it leaves.
Subscription and support
Subscriptions are billed by Apple and managed in Settings on your device, under your name, then Subscriptions. Terms are in the Terms of Use. Support is at support@movemetric.org, and the support page covers the common questions.
To delete everything: delete a clip in the app, or delete the app. Because nothing is stored on our side beyond the free-analysis count, there is no account to close.
